5 Thanksgiving Side Dishes Made in the Air Fryer

Happy Thanksgiving! We know this can be a stressful day for those preparing the big meal, so we put together 5 quick and easy air fryer recipes that can be made in 30 minutes or less. 

 

1. Brussels Sprouts

 

 

 

Ingredients:

 

2 cups of Brussels Sprouts

1/2 tsp sea salt

1/4 black pepper

1/2 chili powder (optional)

1 tbsp olive oil

 

Instructions:

 

1. Mix all ingredients together in a mixing bowl.

2. Place Brussels Sprouts in air fryer basket and cook for 5 minutes at 350F

3. Separate basket from pan and shake. Place back into air fryer for 2 more minutes.

 

*If you are making these in the air fryer oven. Place Brussels sprouts in middle rack on the mesh basket and cook for 10 minutes at 350F

  

 

2. Green Beans

 

 

 

 Ingredients:

 

 2 cups of green beans

1/2 tsp sea salt

1/4 tsp black pepper

1/2 chili powder (optional)

1 tbsp olive oil

 

Instructions:

 

1. Mix all the ingredients together in a mixing bowl

2. Place ingredients in air fryer basket 

3. Cook at 390F for 5 minutes (same temp and time for air fryer oven)

4. Enjoy with toppings such as: cheese, bacon, butter and garlic. (Optional)

 

 

  

3. Sweet Potato Crostini

 

 

 

 

We used the recipe from Camille Styles, but changed the time and temp to match our GoWISE USA Air Fryer Oven.

Ingredients:

 

1 large sweet potato

Olive oil

Kosher salt

Ground cumin

Black pepper

 

Optional Toppings:

 

Herbed goat cheese

Smoked salmon

Pear thinly sliced

Honey

Candied pecans

 

Instructions:

 

1. Toss sweet potato wedges with olive oil, salt, pepper, and cumin. 

2. Spread them in the 2 mesh trays and add them into the air fryer oven. 

3. Select manual and set the temperature to 400F and time to 8 minutes.

4. Rotate trays.

5. Cook for an additional 8 minutes at 400F.

6. Add toppings of your choice! We went with smoked salmon and chives, and a 
pear, honey, and thyme option.

 

 

4. Vegan Gluten-Free Potato Latkes

Strength and Sunshine Potato Latkes

Ingredients: 

 

2 1/2 cups peeled, shredded white potato

1/2 cup minced sweet onion

3 TB Arrowroot Starch

1 prepared Bob's Red Mill Egg Replacement

1/2 Tsp smoked paprika

1/4 Tsp black pepper

Applesauce (to serve)

 

Instructions: 

 

1. In a large bowl, mix together the potat, onion, starch, and prepared egg. Add spices if using.

2. Take about 2 tbsp of mixture and form a thick flattened disc

3. Place in air fryer and repeat (depending on size of air fryer). Keep the latkes evenly spaced in the air fryer basket. 

4. Air Fryer for 5 minutes at 350F, flip the latkes, and air fry for about 3 more minutes or until golden brown and crispy.

 

 

 

5. Cheese Biscuits

 

 

 

Ingredients: 

 

1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1 tsp baking powder

3/4 cup buttermilk

1/2 cup scallions

1/2 tsp seafood seasoning

1/4 tsp cayenne powder

1 1/2 cup cheddar

 

 

Instructions:

 

1.  Mix together flour and butter

2. Add remaining ingredients and combine

3. Divide into 1-2 inch balls and place on mesh tray in the middle rack

4. Cook at 350F for 15 minutes
