Welcome to week 4 (our last week!) of meal prepping where we utilize our Air Fryer Ovens to create some yummy dishes! If you are a fan of regular air fryers AND meal prep in general – then our Air Fryer Ovens are for you. They are large enough to cook up large quantities of food whether it be for a meal prep purpose or for several people for your next dinner or gathering. They’re still compact enough to fit on your kitchen counter and include multiple accessories to air fry, roast, bake, dehydrate and more. Use our dehydrating feature to make healthy and crunchy snacks to get you through the day, such as dried fruit, beef jerky and granola. Learn how and what you can dehydrate by reading our blog post, How To Dehydrate Food with an Air Fryer or Dehydrator.

Air fry some roasted vegetables with the mesh basket and trays to make your lunches and dinners a fuller meal. If you’re in a hurry, then cook up some breakfast, lunch or dinner skewers with our Rotisserie Skewer set. Even cook up a whole rotisserie chicken or juicy piece of steak to use for multiple recipes. Whatever you choose to make in this appliance, you can bet there will be enough to go around for the week.

Below are the supplies and ingredients we used to make our recipes. Any containers, Ziploc bags or other supplies you feel will make your meal prep more successful are welcome.

Supplies:

4 Tupperware Containers

Butcher’s twine

Rotisserie Chicken

Ingredients:

4.22 lb. chicken

1-2 tbsp olive oil

Spice Rub:

2 tbsp table salt

2 tsp white pepper

1 tsp black pepper

3 tbsp garlic powder

2 tbsp onion powder

4 tbsp smoked paprika

1 tsp cayenne pepper

Directions:

In a mixing bowl, combine the spice rub ingredients, mixing to combine.

Place your chicken on a baking tray to prep it. Drizzle olive oil on the whole chicken, rubbing it around to coat. Sprinkle a couple spoonfuls of the spice mixture onto the chicken, rubbing it together.

Using the butcher’s twine, truss your chicken together and spoon some more spice mixture onto the chicken. If you need directions on how to truss your chicken, secure it onto the Rotisserie Rod and into your oven, then watch our video on How To Rotisserie a Whole Chicken.

Using your Rotisserie tong, secure your chicken into your Air Fryer Oven. Press the Rotisserie setting and air fry at 430°F for 45 minutes. Check to be sure the internal temperature of your chicken is at least 165°F before removing it from the oven.

Once your chicken is cooked, use the Rotisserie tong to safely remove it from the oven and place back onto your baking tray. Slice, dice or shred your chicken to your desired preference.

4 Meal Prep Meals

The spice rub we used for our meal prep recipes was ideal for all of our dishes. If you aren’t fond of it or want to try something new or even stuff some veggies and herbs inside the chicken, then feel free! We doubled the spice rub recipe, so we would have extra seasoning for when we rotisserie another chicken or another meal prep day. When trussing your chicken, some of the spice rub may come off, so feel free to sprinkle some more on! If you are saving your meals for later on, then go ahead and store your sandwich bread or tortillas in a Ziploc bag or tucked inside your Tupperware container to stay fresh. Make these recipes your own and switch up the meats, veggies, sauces or dishes in their entirety!
