With your little ones getting ready to head back to school and as the fall season creeps up on us, so does meal prepping! There are so many benefits as to why you should incorporate meal prepping into your everyday lives. And when you add our products into the mix, there’s nothing that can stop you! Follow along as we give you everything you need to know about meal prepping and how to meal prep utilizing our Electric Grill.

Why Meal Prep?

  • It saves you time - Prepping your meals saves so much time. Instead of cooking an hour or more every day when you get home, you can block out some time during the weekend to get all the cooking done at once. The more often you meal prep, the more efficient you’ll become, which means the more meals you can make. Prepping your meals ahead of time means less dishes throughout the week! By meal prepping, all you need to worry about is the few pieces of Tupperware you use that day and let’s face it – there are so many other things you would rather do with your time. Save your energy and instead of cooking up a storm, put that energy towards going for a workout, doing something fun with your family or take advantage of the opportunity to get to sleep early.
  • It saves you money - It also will save you money by already having a meal prepared instead of choosing junk food or going out to eat. It gets rid of the temptation of choosing unhealthy food options and in the long run will keep your finances smaller.
  • It’s easier to eat healthy - You will have an easier time controlling your food intake, because you can decide how much you fill your containers with. You will rely on finishing what’s in your container rather than eating until you’re full or trying to finish what’s on your plate when going out.

Tips

Meal prepping doesn’t have to be boring! You can eat the same meals each day if you want or switch it up and have different meals in rotation. You don’t have to stick to the same old chicken, rice and veggies. Mix it up and create a salad, healthy bowl, tacos, whatever you desire!

It can be overwhelming if you’re new to this and are trying to decide where to start. Start simple and build out your recipes. You don’t need to start out making 5-star recipes. Try a few simple recipes and try more complicated recipes as you get more practice. It’s most important to just give it a try, so you can figure out what you do and don’t like. It’s a good idea to recycle your Tupperware monthly if you are using plastic Tupperware, to avoid any plastic getting into your food. Invest in liners and cooking spray for your kitchen appliances, so you can shed some time on clean up. Try to get as many things going at once, so you will save tons of time. That’s why our products come in handy! All of our products are designed to be easy to use and save you time.

Make sure to invest in good containers and a nice lunch bag that can fit your meals and is insulated to keep your food fresh! We recommend just getting your dishes done all at once. Save them to the very end of meal prepping so that this can be done before you take that nice break.

Meal prepping is a great habit for anyone to develop - from parents, kids, people on the go, or fitness-conscious people. If you are looking to save time cooking, control your portion intake and make healthier food decisions, then this is for you!

Fall is a great time to start a healthy time-saving habit like meal prepping, as we get into new routines with kids getting back to school, or increased activities to attend as you gear up for the holidays. If you’re a parent, it can be difficult to find time to work, keep your house tidy, care for your kids AND make meals that you both can enjoy! When you meal prep, it saves you time that you can spend with your loved ones. And with our products, it makes the process that much easier. You generally just mix your ingredients together, place your food in one of our products and wait for the savory aromas to fill the room. Our products are also so versatile and will surprise you with what you can whip up in them. Make your rice in the pressure cooker, use the grill for some caramelized meats and veggies, blend some dipping sauces or breakfast smoothies for the day in the blender and air fry some healthy sides or bake a healthy dessert in the air fryer!

This week we are showing you how to use your Electric Grill for meal prepping. Here are the supplies and ingredients we used to make our recipes. Any containers, Ziploc bags or other supplies you feel will make your meal prep more successful are welcome.

Supplies:

Ziploc Bags

4 Tupperware Containers

Ingredients:

4 chicken breasts

whole wheat noodles

desired Sauces and Marinades

Veggies:

1 red or orange bell pepper

1 yellow bell pepper

½ yellow onion

½ red onion

1 jalapeno

1 zucchini

1 yellow squash

mushrooms

Grape tomatoes

Grilled Chicken & Veggies

Ingredients:

4 chicken breasts

desired veggies

olive oil cooking spray

Marinade:

1 tbsp olive oil

1 lime, juiced

½ tbsp honey

3 cloves of garlic, minced

2 tbsp cilantro, chopped

sprinkle of salt and pepper

Directions:

In a large mixing bowl, mix together your marinade ingredients until combined well. Place the marinade and chicken in a Ziploc bag together and mix. Refrigerate for 30 minutes to let the marinade set in.

While you are waiting for your chicken to marinate, prep and cut your desired vegetables.

Preheat your grill to medium to high heat. Grease your grill plates with cooking spray and place your marinated chicken on them. Grill for 20 minutes, flipping halfway through or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F. Remove from the grill and set aside.

Separate your desired veggies by bowl type. Wrap them in foil and lightly spray with oil. With your grill still set to medium to high heat, place the foil packets on the grill plate. Steam the veggies for 10 minutes, rotating halfway through. Remove the veggies from the grill and set aside.

4 Meal Prep Bowls

A meal prep bowl is the perfect idea for breakfast, lunch or dinner, because you can make it your own and include any fixings you desire! Whether that is a breakfast bowl with scrambled eggs and veggies, a lunch bowl with chicken, veggies and spicy salsa to top it off or a dinner bowl with zucchini noodles, rice, meat and veggies to really fill you up! Whichever one you prefer, try to stick to one type of meat and veggie, so that it’s that easier to meal prep! Adding in rice, pasta, quinoa or zucchini noodles are great options that give you a fuller meal and are still a healthier option. Once your meals are done cooking, stick them in your Tupperware containers and refrigerate until you’re ready to enjoy! We were able to fit 4 thick chicken breasts on our Electric Grill. Also keep in mind that brand, size and thickness are all factors you should keep in mind while determining your correct temperature and time. What worked for us, may not work for you. Once the chicken was done, we sliced them, so they were ready to eat, but feel free to cut them into smaller chunks or leave them whole.
